1883: The tournament began as the Home Nations Championship, featuring England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
1910: rance joined, forming the Five Nations Championship.
1931-1939: France was excluded due to accusations of professionalism but rejoined in 1947.
2000: Italy joined the tournament, creating the Six Nations Championship as we know it today.
2017: Points are awarded for wins, draws, and bonus points
2023: Grand Slam: Winning all matches in a season (most recently by Ireland)
